Happy Halloween!

This year Halloween was very busy and very fun!   Starting Wednesday night we had plans straight through Saturday night. Wednesday we cleaned out our pumpkins.  This year the boys did it all, with just a little help from Mom.  In years past, they would take out a scoop and be done.

After we did pumpkins, I left for the night to Young Womens at the church and left Jeffery to sew Riley's costume.  I love my husband.  He is truly amazing!  He can sew hands down better than me and he did an awesome job with Riley's Avatar costume. No pattern, only what his brillant mind knew what to do.

Thursday we went to Aunt Jessica's house for their neighborhood Trick-or-treating.  After Boyd would receive a piece of candy, he'd tell Jeffery and I that "this is easy!  This is so easy!"

 

 Friday was party day at the school.  Joseph's Kindergarten class went to a retirement home and sang Halloween songs and poems to the residents. Afterwards, the kids went around from table to table trick-or-treating.  Boyd was invited to participate with the class and they both had a great time!

 

Friday night the boys had a great surprise.  Grandpa & Grandma Clouse showed up at our house at bedtime along with cousins Jacob and Madelyn.  They all had a great time playing with each other until Saturday's Trunk-or-treat at the church. But they couldn't go until they tried some of Jeffery's homemade cotton candy.

 

Boyd was supposed to be Clark Kent, but of course refused to actually dress like him, so he was half Superman-half Clark Kent (thus he got to wear jeans)  Joseph has never liked dressing up so the simpler the costume the better.  A pair of old jeans with a iron-on guitar and one of his guitar shirts.  And our other boy, Jacob, was the Hulk.

The next morning  in true Clouse form,  the boys lined up their candy and took inventory of their goods.  Yes, they may look like Andersons, but they have the Clouse OCD.

P.S.  The boys get to go to the dentist tomorrow!  Now, that's scary!
