They Finally Figured it Out

About 2yrs. ago we took down the old wood fence in the backyard and put up a new one. The old wood slats then got placed in a big stack on the back patio. The boys have wanted nothing to do with it, except to try and catch the lizards that made it their home. So a couple of weeks ago, they figured out that they could use the wood for something. It only took some friends who wanted the wood to make rustic frames to take a major part of it away and the boys threw a fit that it was their wood. I told the boys that we didn't need the wood or even wanted the old wood, and they decided to prove me wrong.

The boys built a little teepee around a mesquite tree, and sparked the inspiration for Jeffery's next project.

My 4boys had a great weekend together building forts. Jeffery's is not yet done, but hopefully soon...

Towards the end of the day, Boyd forgot about tools and forts and started singing in the 'spot' light. He loves to sing "Onward" (Called to Serve) and of course Mama Mia!
