Riley's Butterfly Field Trip

Last week with Tucson's summer like weather Riley's class went to the Tucson Botanical Gardens for their Butterfly Exhibit. They have a greenhouse with tropical butterflies everywhere. There were a ton of different butterflies and moths ranging in size. The biggest one we saw was a moth about the size of my hand opened wide. Riley enjoyed trying to find the different kinds on his guide. He did pretty good. I had a blue morpho butterfly land on my shoulder and was content there as I walked around the greenhouse for a few minutes. We had a really good time together.

After the butterflies, we walked around the rest of the garden. Riley wasn't too excited about the rest of the gardens. After all "They're just flowers Mom." He's a true blue boy.
